SIBS CATTERY
Siberians and Somalis
Welcome to Sibs Cattery!
Website updated: 1/12/2022
SIBS Cattery is a small closed cattery located in Beaumont, TX. I currently have two breeding Siberian females and one breeding Somali. I also have the Queen of queens , Dia, my 9.5 year old ruddy Abyssinian. All of my cats are pets first. They have free run of the house and when I wake up I usually have all 4 of my children sleeping on the bed with me in various locations.
My breeding philosophy is to breed for the following in order of importance. Health, Temperament, Breed Standards and Color and rarity.
All of my females are genetically tested and I have bred out all known hereditary diseases. My Siberians have EKGs once every 2-3 years to make sure they are negative for HCM. One of my Mentors and the guy I go to for stud services practices the same health regiments that I do. I also don't over breed my cats. They normally have 2 litters a year and I breed them for 3-4 years and then have them spayed or neutered and work to find them their forever home at a very reasonable placing fee.
I also am very active in the exhibition halls taking my cats around the country to show them against the best of their breeds and against the best of all the breeds. I have shown multiple kittens and cats and alters to Regional Wins, Breed Wins, and titles from Grand Champion in CFA to Supreme Grand Champion in TICA. This lets you know that even though you are bringing home a kitten as a life long companion, you know that he or she is coming from some of the best lines available. If I sell someone a show quality kitten and they decide to try out the fun side of cat competition, I believe they are ready to go head to head against any other kitten or cat. I offer cash incentives to any of my extended cat family that shows and get titles.
